Hello! Greetings and welcome to this blog! As you may have gathered from my small profile excerpt, my name is indeed Nicholas Sparks. I'm extremely happy that you are reading this, and I hope my past and future posts can play some part in enriching your life- intellectually, spiritually, etc. Being a philosophy and theology major, I am fortunate to ruminate on the thoughts of intellectual giants from the history of Western civilization, and am blessed with an excellent community of teachers and friends at Benedictine College with whom I am able to grow. This blog will function as a sort of sounding-board in which I can flesh out my responses and thoughts on my studies, and even may function to advance a few of the views I'm beginning to develop on my own. However, I firmly believe in the value of being able to explain and break down the masters of one's field before attempting to contribute something novel, and as such for the near (and far) future I will most likely stick to commenting on, explaining, and presenting the thoughts of those that I encounter.
